Portfolio preschooler. The work of educators and parents with the table preferences

 

Knowing the interests of the child, we can judge his aspirations, intentions, and hence to influence the formation of personality. Interests are closely connected with powers. However, there is full compliance, as manifested interest in something does not mean “Wake-up” the corresponding capacity. The breadth of interests associated with the horizon, the curiosity of man.

Children “addicting nature”, however, needs to cool their ardor, when they start any business: without passion there is no creativity, success. It is important to instill in them a responsible attitude to any business and a habit to finish what you’ve started. The child should experience the fun, “light” not only at the beginning of the case, but in the end of it, to enjoy the result of their labor, to strive for new knowledge, to even greater achievements, especially in the fact that it attracts.

This is the way to educating a wide stable interests, among which should be allocated one interest, expressing the main purpose of the child, the propensity for any activity. The main (Central) the interest is often associated with the manifestation of the child’s abilities.

We gradually introduce the child into the world in which we live: introduce it with the phenomena of nature, with flora and fauna, objects of our everyday life, read him books, tell stories — all of this broadens the mind of the child develops his intellectual curiosity, educational interests.

In children (sometimes already have three) can be noted and sustained interest, and propensity to certain classes. For some kids favorite pastime is drawing, others may long to enjoy music, love to sing and dance, and others interested in literary works — tales, stories, poems and themselves enthusiastically recite poems and tell stories, the fourth can spend a long time messing around with wooden or metal designer, interested in machines of various brands.

Typically, such strong interests in preschool children do not arise by themselves, but only in cases where among other adults in the child is a worthy example to follow. Children eagerly borrow experience from the external environment. Some of the phenomena of life the imagination of children and cause them to have reactions follow. First, the child copies the activities of loved ones, and with age, it develops a sustainable and self-interest and a tendency to a certain kind of activity.

Preschooler takes a keen interest only to the fact that it to some extent, occupied, enjoyed, acted on the imagination and feelings.

Some children have no explicit interest to any kind of activity.

Where there is an interest? Interest can “infect”.

Parents. If the parents are fond of Hiking, and the child likes it.

Teacher. If the teacher emotionally and fascinatingly tells about something, the child support interest.

Friends. If a friend is keen on picking up collections of dinosaurs, the interest may become common.

The staff of our kindergarten several years working on “maintaining a portfolio preschooler”. The most understandable for us was the first unit portfolio “portrait of a child”. There exists a second unit portfolio . proposed by the Ministry of education of Perm region – table preferences.

This information about the achievements and interests of the child, which can be detected by recording observations of the child. These observations are made of parents and teachers. With a child of preschool age is an individual interview. All data is registered in the table with the main activities of the child preschooler. It is necessary to identify the child’s interest in any activity in which the child is successful, which will create conditions for the development of the child’s skills in a particular activity. The table seemed uncomfortable. Parents do not understand the pedagogical terms, there are no recommendations for its completion. We redesigned the table and tested it in different groups. The table was clear and caregivers, and parents, and does not require much time to fill.

The task of populating the table preferences:

– to identify the preferences of children

– identify the activities of the children, which they prefer to do at home

– how to identify the preferences expressed by the children coincide with the supervision of teachers and parents

to outline the strategy for the development interests of the child

– identify activities, neglected child

Stages of work:

– parents complete the table.

Instruction for parents: Read, select from the list only activities that can love your child (5-6 points) or do not like.

– complete the table by caregivers (child care)

– fill the column “from the words of the child” only with the older group. The caregiver talks to the child and enters the data into the table. The older preschooler can offer independent work (sheet with pictures or schematic icons manual, the chips of two colors)

The table is populated twice a year. At the end of the year written response (to be cliche). Analysis of characteristics for 2-3 years to judge the sustainability interests of the child, and the likely path of development (music school, art Studio, dance club, etc.).

Perhaps when writing features the participation of other teachers kindergarten: teachers of mathematics and literacy, teacher in drawing, physical instructor, music Director, etc. they can tell you about the interests of the child to their lesson, the penchant for any activity.

Teachers may notice the tendency of a child to anything. And affect the interests of the child. For example, noting the propensity for drawing, create a situation of success for the child (participation in the exhibition of drawings). Or, seeing that the pure child intones, offer to speak at the celebration. Success, positive emotions will want to relive again, and perhaps whet interest in this activity.
